Get Down and Dirty: Floorwork with Demi Entendre • 11:30 am – 12:30 pm Central
Class Description:
Come explore the floor with Demi! We will look at ways to lower our bodies to the floor, some movements that will make you the boss of that floor, and look at how to get back on our feet! Demi will also consider any mobility concerns and find modifications that work for you. All levels are welcome. Let’s get grounded and discover your sensual side!
Supplies:
Please bring knee pads, a yoga mat, or any other padding that may make crawling and leaning/laying in various positions on the floor more comfortable.
Instructor Information:
Armed with a lifetime of partial deafness and a bachelor’s degree in theatre, this busty brunette makes audiences cheer so loud even she can hear them! As a model, painter, pole dancer, and burlesque performer, this multi-faceted entertainer has been seen on such stages as the Nude Art Show and the Tulsa Burlesque Festival and made her debut at the Great Burlesque Expo in Salem, MA, in April! She is co-producer of Harlots & Havoc, a pro wrestling and burlesque mashup show based in Tulsa. She can take you on a ride that transcends the confines of sound and is sure to have you screaming one way or another. Say hello to the Hard of Hearing Harlot, Demi Entendre!

About the workshop:
The intention of extension is a state of mind and movement. This class aims to help performers reach a deeper connection with their body, mind, and the audience while adding fluidity and shapes to choreography. Learn how to hold space to allow extension of lines, completion of movements, and subtle layers to musicality that will leave the audience holding their breath. This concept will elevate your performances and add a unique complexity to your style. This class can be done sitting or standing, and modifications can be added.

With ten years as a burlesque/drag performer and a background in education, Nadi A’marena incorporates their passion for teaching, striptease, and accessibility to create supportive, inclusive, equitable learning environments. Nadi strives to give constructive feedback in a non-judgmental format to help students feel comfortable and confident in their skills. Their classes foster creativity, collaboration, and joy to help students polish their numbers and costumes in a non-competitive, relaxed environment.
