The 2024 Hybrid DisabiliTease Festival took place July 19-21!
Thank you to those who joined the DisabiliTease Festival on July 19-21 for a celebration of disabled bodies through burlesque, drag, cirque, and cabaret performances. The event offers in-person and virtual attendance options and we are dedicated to providing a safe and inclusive environment for disabled performers from around the world.
The Friday, July 19 show allowed performers to gather and celebrate each other’s art with the local Twin Cities community at the Capri Theater. It was also live-streamed to continue to connect with performers and audiences worldwide.
The virtual Saturday, July 20 show featured pre-recorded acts with a live emcee.
Three in-person live-streamed workshops were held through the DisabiliTease Academy on Sunday, July 21, at the Capri Theater.
Our live-stream and virtual shows and workshops were presented via Zoom. We also partnered with individuals and organizations worldwide to co-host official in-person watch parties.
Precautions were taken, and we had a COVID-safe and accessible weekend.

Friday night’s show is hosted by Luma Notti. The cast includes headliner Holliedazzle and performers Bebe Demure, Demi Entendre, LaLa Chatte, Lakota Shekhar, Nay Nay Bouchée & Coy Tease, Oshun Hathor, Plum Ridiculous, and Prance Dashing.
Saturday night’s show is hosted by Diana Divine. The cast includes headliner Sepia Jewel and performers Andyboy, Cherry Valentine, Crip Tease, Eilidh Ellery, Javier Miguel, Lady Dada, Mellogamy Muse, Mx. Avery Knight, Nadi A’marena, Porcelain Delaney, and Silver Kitsune.
The shows were produced by Minda Mae, Lakota Shekhar, and Scarlett Tart.
Each show is available to rent for 24 hours for $20 or purchase for $25.
Tipping information for Friday performers is at the end of the video, while the information is shown before and after each act on Saturday. Be sure to send them some love!

2024 Workshop Videos
We teamed up with the DisabiliTease Academy, which launched during the 2021 DisabiliTease Festival weekend, to bring three workshops to our 2024 hybrid festival.
As the only school of its kind, the DisabiliTease Academy brings accessible virtual classes to performers, producers, and their allies in the burlesque, drag, cirque, cabaret, and movement arts communities. Their mission is to provide an accessible experience for both instructors and students who may otherwise encounter barriers in traditional movement and performance arts schools through live Zoom sessions, pre-recorded classes, and downloadable resource guides.
The growing list of courses includes topics such as self-care as a performer, costuming, logistics and career management, accessibility, inclusivity, adaptable movement, and more.
