DisabiliTease Festival Watch Party Applications Now Open!

The DisabiliTease Festival recognizes that people with disabilities are disproportionately affected both medically and financially by COVID-19 and we realized that limiting the majority of participants to those willing and able to travel to Minnesota would create a festival lineup that was not representative of our entire community. Therefore, we created a virtual show and are partnering with individuals and organizations to host watch parties to foster greater inclusion. 

A watch party is an approved in-person event, hosted by an individual or organization in partnership with the DisabiliTease Festival, where an audience can gather to enjoy DTF shows in person.

Requirements:

  • Your event must have an accessibility statement specific to the venue (refer to the questions about the venue contained in the application for assistance with creating an accessibility statement)
  • There must be a point person on-site for audience members to contact
  • The partnering individual/organization must sign and adhere to the DTF Code of Conduct (if accepted).

We will be reviewing and accepting Watch Party applications on a rolling basis.

We understand that folks may gather in homes to watch the show(s) together. While these will not be considered official watch parties, we encourage each individual to still purchase their own ticket for the virtual show and tip performers. The DisabiliTease Festival cast is made up of performers with disabilities. Your support and funds go directly to each artist and their endeavors.
